A disturbing increase in chronic absenteeism from work has been observed in Quebec. Even though the majority of reasons are justifiable, there has been a corresponding increase in cases of false claims against insurance companies and the CSST resulting in increased premiums for employers as well as a loss in productivity and the cost of replacements.

For Quebec employers, the cumulative effect of these factors represents an average increase of 20 % in the cost associated with absentee employees.

These offences have an economic impact that is sufficiently alarming that enterprises are now investing in the resolution of these cases of fraud, with the support of the lawmakers.

The agency’s investigators are experts in shadowing, using tactical and technological methods and operating in conformity with the Charter of Rights and Freedoms with respect to the individual.

Through its subsidiary Sim filature, the agency intervenes in a range of fields related to marital separation (adultery, divorce proceedings, conjugal infidelity, alimony and child custody).
